Have a Cold?

Cold & Flu = Flu is another name for influenza. Considered contagious, it is a viral infection of the respiratory passages, which often causes fever, severe aching and/or intestinal infection. Colds are usually due to bacterial infection that overwhelms the body, often resulting in fatigue, coughing, sneezing, mucous build-up and drainage, fever and sometimes body aches.

How can Chiropractic Help with Colds & Flu?

Chiropractic has been shown in hundreds of research articles to improve the function of the body’s immune system. If your immune system is working at 100%,especially because you get the benefits of chiropractic care, versus people who don’t use chiropractic, you have greater ability to be healthy and not suffer from as many cold’s and/or flu as the general population does. Chiropractic care can help raise your natural resistance to disease by removing a serious interference to your proper body function: Vertebral subluxations. Remember, an elevated temperature (fever) is one of your body’s defense mechanisms, helping you to destroy infection. Lowering a mild to moderate fever reduces this defense against this illness condition. Likewise, other symptoms of colds and flu are the body’s attempts to clear itself of bacterial and viral influences that attack the body.

What our happy patients say

I appreciated the professionalism of Dr. Yaun.  He did not make me wait for hours for my scheduled appointment time.  He did not do other things or see other people while he was meeting with me (in contrast, my physical therapist had 3 other patients at the same time, filled out charts, and texted her daughter).  He always made me feel like I was his only patient and that he was not in a rush.

The first two weeks following my surgery I was back to 80% of my full range of motion. In the months that followed my range of motion improved to 100%, within 9 months my strength was back and then some- I’ve hit training PR’s that are 30lbs heavier than pre-injury. I attribute this progress to Dr. Yaun.

I came to Dr. Yaun almost two years ago with a tight and sore lower back and glute area.  As a crossfitter working out six times a week, I started to experience chronic pain in both areas.  Dr. Yaun helped greatly in relieving the pain, and more importantly setting me up for success in the future by giving me a variety of mobility exercises that would prevent me from ending up back in the same place.
