About Dr. Andrew Yaun, DC, CCSP

Hi, I’m Dr. Andrew Yaun and thank you for taking the time to visit our office virtually. I have worked in the health and fitness industry since 2004, studying Exercise Science, Clinical Physiology from the Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts. This is where I developed a large interest in kinesiology which led to my career in chiropractic.
While earning my doctorate degree at the University of Bridgeport, I worked as a certified personal trainer, eventually opening Yaun Chiropractic immediately out of school. While starting my first year in practice, I furthered my expertise to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
The quality of a our life is a direct reflection of our overall health, which includes the ability to move: Life is Movement. Establishing goals beyond reducing pain allows my patients to achieve long-lasting positive changes to their life. In addition to in-office treatment, we establish wellness-based lifestyle habits that not only prevent pain from returning, but improve how the body functions overall. I lead an active lifestyle and passionately encourage my patients to do what they love for as long as they live; we just have to be proactive versus reactive!
I am happily very active with my continuing education so I can help every kind of patient who enters my office. I am Webster Certified, which is the gold standard for helping my pregnant patients. I continue to work with the ICPA to help with our infants, toddlers, and children. I have an extensive background working with a wide range of athletes both in-season and off-season. And I like to do my part in educating the public; I have provided ergonomic workshops for tech companies, nutrition workshops, functional movement and exercise technique workshops, mobility workshops, etc.

What else about me?!
In high school I was a 2-year captain of the wrestling team and worked my way up to be first singles and captain of our tennis team. In addition to this history, I currently engage in multiple recreational sports and activities (tennis, crossfit, racquetball, snowboarding, hiking, golfing, running, biking, triathlons, sailing, and so much more). I enjoy challenging myself and you can see a list of my competitive accomplishments in my below. The highlights that hold a special place in my heart are: Running the NYC marathon, Taking 10th in the world at the 2010 Crossfit Games for the Crossfit Performance team, and finishing the ridiculously difficult Survival of the Shawangunks “triathlon”.
