Advanced Soft Tissue Techniques

Graston, IASTM, FAKTR

Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and frustrating. Graston Technique® (GT), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), FAKTR therapy are successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute, or post-surgical.

These techniques enable the treatment of scar tissue and fascial restrictions during rehabilitation that allows for faster rehabilitation and with greater success when the goal is restoring range of motion, eliminating pain, and restoring normal function.

Trigger-Point Release and Percussion

We use other manual therapy techniques such asIschemic Compression, trigger-point release (more popularly known as Active Release) and percussion (via the TheraGun) to quickly reduce muscle tension so your body can increase ranges of motion and reduce radiating trigger-points.

As with instrument assisted mobilizations, our goal is restoring range of motion, eliminating pain, and restoring normal function.

Cupping (via RockPods)

Cupping is a method of negative pressure therapeutic bodywork that utilizes silicone, plastic, or glass cups applied to the body, to relieve muscular tension and pain. Cups on the body create a pulling action, or “vacuum”, to the tissue it is applied to, which allows for fascia hydration, tissue congestion clearing, and improved circulation. Tissue congestion and pain can severely limit our range of motion and cause pain throughout our body, and cups are often used to relieve this discomfort for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Some of the therapeutic benefits of cupping therapy include (but are not limited to):

  • Improved circulation
  • Alleviate adhesions and scar tissue
  • Help clear congestion and stagnation
  • Lift, hydrate, and manipulate fascia
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Encourage the formation of healthy blood vessels
  • Reduce overall pain
  • Encourages lymph drainage
  • Alleviates muscular tension and tightness
  • Promotes muscle recovery
